Small town – friends without names

Michael A Iwanowicz

Finishing the day with supper at a local pub, I chatted outside with a local resident who wished me blessings on the season. Further, she spoke briefly about how folks living alone can reflect on their lives and see what life is all about. She talked about losing her children at an early age and now caring for her elderly mother.
She somehow knew my story and hoped that I would be well. ….. That is the beauty of mingling with friends without names in a small town.
